The young grubbs played in the shallow banks of The Mongo River, splashing and laughing.  Harmony had been restored by Stranger and the grubb warriors after they had fought Sekto and destroyed the Sekto springs dam, freeing The Mongo River.  Some clakker settlements had suffered, becoming flooded, but the grubbs came out of poverty, having more water and fish to feed themselves.  The wolvark threat had been eliminated, so no one really picked on them anymore.  Stranger had given up bounty hunting, since he was quite happy just living with the grubbs, and Alex, his human friend,  and the clakkerz didn’t want to see him anymore, thinking that steef were insane animals, not an intelligent species.

Stranger was sitting with Alex and Frayda, curious about the thing that he had seen.
“Are you sure?” Said Frayda.  “Maybe you were just tired and seeing things?” Stranger shook his head.
“Yes.  I know I saw it.”
“Hmmm.”
Frayda got up, and walked away.  For a moment Stranger thought she had went away because he’d annoyed her somehow, but then she came back from a grubb house, holding an old ancient piece of paper.
“What’s this for?” He said, curious.  He couldn’t see where this conversation was heading.  Frayda turned over the little piece of paper to show him an ancient-styled picture with some kind of ancient grubb writing underneath.  The picture had the light-blue creature he had seen on it, floating with its eyes closed and arms outstretched to the sides with the night sky as the background and pretty colourful bands and swirls around her like auroras.

Alex looked intrested, and Stranger nodded.
“Yeah.  That’s the thing I saw.”
Frayda rolled her eyes with a happy look on her face.  Stranger frowned.
“What is it?” He said.  She smiled.
“You just proved a mystical creature exists.” Stranger and Alex looked interested.
"What kind a' mystical creature?" Alex asked.
“It was foreseen by grubb seers in ancient times.  People today doubt it would exist.  I guess you proved them wrong.” There was some silence.  “Well, what is it?” He asked.  This was getting interesting.  Frayda held up the paper closer to her eyes and read it.

“The zaluzayra.  A magical creature capable of speed, balance and agility beyond that of any other creature.  Capable of making any sound and energy blasts, the only downside to it is emotions can overpower it.” There was a pause.
“Well?”
She turned over the piece of paper.  “It’s a very shy creature, and will run away if it knows someone else is there.  If it can’t do that, it will play dead.  If the person rill poses a threat, it will try and intimidate the person by hissing, growling, snarling, barking or cracking its tail like a whip.  It only usually fights to protect those it cares about, not itself.  It has thick retractable claws to fight with.” There was another pause.
“Keep on reading.” "Yeah, i's gettin' in'tresting"
She put the paper down.
“Can’t!  The rest of the documents were stolen!  They just vanished one night and haven’t showed up since.” They looked surprised.  “Why would somebody want to steal them?” "Yeah, i's just a bit of paper, and it's not like they could'a read it!" “Beats me.  It’s not like they could have read the grubb writing if they tried, and I doubt the any of the grubbs would steal them.”

He sighed.  “Grubb seers, hmm?  ‘Sounds interesting.  Are there any ‘round here?” Frayda’s face looked funny.
“Well, yeah, but…”

They were in a grubb house that was made of white stone with wooden tables and chairs in the room.  Three grubbs sat there in the corner of the room.  One was curled up and wide-eyed with fear, the other one was smiling and happy and the third one was happy-daft looking with a pan on his head.  “They’re triplets.  Firestorm, Nightjay and Zynx.” "They look kinda weird." “So what’s the downside?” He said casually.  “They can see the future can’t they?” “Well, yeah, but…” “But?”

One of the grubbs walked up to him.  It was the scared-looking one.  He suddenly leapt up onto Stranger and grabbed onto the front of his shirt.
“A SPIRIT SHALL INFILTRATE YOUR MIND AND THE GRUBBS WILL LOCK YOU UP THINKING YOU’VE GONE INSANE!!!” He shrieked.  Stranger threw him off in a panic.  He ran back to the other two grubbs.
"Wha' was that all about?!" Said Alex.  “Ah, that’s Firestorm, he foresees bad stuff.” Said Frayda.  “Any other useful early warnings I could have now?” Stranger said, irritated.

“Well-” Another grubb ran up to him.  It was the one with big happy eyes and a slap-happy face.  “Oh no…  You stay away from me!” He demanded.  “You’ll make wot’s o’ best fwiends!  Yaaaay!” He said like a little girl.  He giggled, ran into a table, got up, and ran giggling back to his two brothers.  Stranger’s face was a mixture of shock and irritance.  Alex froze, then started laughing.
“…What the?-” “That’s Nightjay, he sees good stuff.” “He’s an idiot if he thinks I’ll expand my social life.  These guys are a bunch of annoying crack heads.” “That’s why they were moved here from their village.” “They got kicked out?” “They kept on scaring and annoying people.” “No doubt”

The final one with the pan on his head walked up to Stranger.
“……Riiiiiiight…  What’s wrong with this guy?” "Wha' does this one see?" “That’s Zynx, he sees stuff that no one believes, that or he’s completely deluded.” “I see your future!” Said Zynx.  “And I don’t wanna know!” Said, Stranger, turning to leave.  ""Me neither, they all seem like a' bunch a' headcases!" Said Alex.  “But I have very powerful visions!” He whined.  “Not interested!” “It involves fighting and your emotions!” “So?  I’ve fought before all the time!” He snapped.  Frayda sighed.  He was getting in a mood…  As usual.
“You shall meet a female steef!”
He froze.  He turned to him.
“…There are no steefs left…”
“Yes there is!  There are two in my vision!  One black steef one girl steef!” There was a moment of silence.

“…Keep talking.” "Sounds cool.  More steefs!"
Zynx gave a happy squeal.  “But it is blurry; I must do more to find out!” “Fine.” Said Stranger.  "Just don't nnoy me or Alex." He lifted up one of Stranger’s hooves, mnaking him feel uneasy, and looked underneath it.  “Hmm!” He put it back down.  He started running around Stranger in a circle.
“Lalalalalalalalalalalalala!”
Frayda giggled.  Alex looked comfused.  Stranger felt irritated again.
“How does this help exactly?!” "I'm wondering the same thing!" Said Alex.  "This makes no sense!" “I dunno!” Zynx said.  “I just feel what I have to do!” He leapt onto Stranger, holding onto him by the shirt, staring into his bright green eyes.
“Hmmm……  Pretty!” Stranger growled at him.  He leapt off onto the floor.
“Now I know your future exactly!” “Well, tell me already!” “Okay!” He leapt onto a table, standing up, his face all ‘serious’ and mystical-like.

“Iiiiiin the fuuuuuturrrrre!  A loooong way from nooow!”
Stranger slapped his forehead.  “This is embarrassing me…” Frayda was laughing, and Alex looked comfused.
“You shall make friends wiiiiith!  A wolvark!”
Stranger growled.  “This guys a head case…” "No doubt.  Wolvarks are nasty idiots anyways!" Said Alex in agreement.  Frayda was laughing even more.  “And your favourite boots shall be chewed by sleggies!” The other two triplets started laughing a bit, Alex giggled a bit, and Frayda was starting to lose control of her laughter.  Stranger looked peeved.  “And you shall fight with a black steef!” Stranger appeared interested.  “Hmm, really?” “Over a girl steef!” There was a pause, and then everyone except Stranger was rolling on the ground laughing.  Even Firestorm and Zynx, who was struggling to speak through laughter.  “A-and! Hahaha!  And th-the girl steef is a hot blonde!” He went into hysterics, and so did the rest, minus Stranger.  “O rly?” He said sarcastically.  He started sniggering.  Then laughing.  And then went into hysterical laughter like the rest of them.

Stranger was outside near the Mongo River, putting his crossbow on his arm.  Frayda walked up to him, her feet making footprints in the muddy shore.
“What’cha doin’?”
He put a rock on his crossbow, and fired it across the water.  It skipped for quite a distance then sunk.
“I’m gonna go get that Zaluzayra…  Find out more about it.” There was a pause.
“Can I come?”
Stranger got on his ammo bag.  “I don’t see why not.”
"Gotcha!" Alex glomped Stranger around his neck.  He just laughed.  "I'm comming too!  I wanna see it for real!" Chomp, Alex's pet fuzzle, hopped out of her bag and onto her shoulder, nuzzling her head and purring.  He sighed.
"Okay.  I don't see why not.  But be quiet, I don't want you's scaring it off."
